In a quaint rural village lies a treasure trove of information. Hidden down a little lane lives a wonderfully small book shop that hasn't seen a customer in years. Unknown to the regular passer by, the "Throne of Knowledge" lies within.
Good luck everybody!

@Gripley: Cheers buddy, the idea was between this and a waterfall throne of some sort, so I took the easy way out :P I have heard The Shadow of the Wind is supposed to be a good read though haven't actually read it myself.
I ran into this cool art today and thought it might be useful

@Lilith: Thanks for sharing that amazing artwork. I will definitely be adding that to my reference sheet!
I feel Houdini could be an extremely beneficial way of increasing production time when creating a range of similar assets i.e. varying types of books. This is proving slightly more difficult then expected, as you have to adopt a completely different mindset when procedural modeling. However saying that I have created a modular, procedural bookshelf, where I have control over all dimensions, the amount of shelf's and dividers. Its a start, though books are proving a little more tricky!
Having spent maybe a little too much time in Houdini, I decided to spend a bit of time this evening sketching in UE4 a basic blockout of how I envision my scene. Its not the best of screenshots but will hopefully give you a representation of what I am trying to achieve. Think I need to make it slightly larger and add an extra floor/balcony...
