THRONE ROOM -The Longship - pc-crash

Since my new Years resulution was to start posting and stop just lurcking around i take this as a sign to start now. My idea is a Viking themed room where the Longship is embedet as the throne into the architecture. I am not entirely sure if the room is still in use or not and if the ship should be able to get back onto the ocean but i think the idea is a good starting point.
My Goals are to finaly start posting in the comunity, to get this project finished and learn more about PBR inside of Unreal 4.

I think it's a good starting point. You can make a harbor that hidden in a cave.

Yea i thought about that cave harbor a little bit but then i threw the idea away. I want it to be more man made. My idea is that the whol throneroom wasend planned in the first place. So the Vikingcaptain or how ever you want to call him just pulled his boat on the beach and start to shout his orders from it down to his people and after they decide to stay longer and build a village, they just build the room around the boat so that the former captain can still be on the place of his power without getting wet from the rain and snow

Nice, I like that idea. But it may be hard to tell that story in a still pictures.

I try to sell it by breaking the symmetry of my throne room with the ship itself, like the room is just build around it. Startet some quick blocking today and will try to post some first images tomorrow.

So made a first quick blockout and insert it into unreal to see if the picture in my head would work out the way i want it to. Size still a little off i think and i probably going to reduce the width of the hall more to give the boat a more trapped feeling
