Hi Polycount,

After attempting a few environments that proved too overwhelming for my skill level, I've decided to get back to work with a small project.

My goals for this exercise were:
1) Continue to figure out the weirdness that is baking in Modo.
2) Improve on my texturing skills in Photoshop.
3) Get a handle on UE4 materials.


I modeled this M24 with a first person view in mind. It's 2716 tris. There's definitely room to cut the poly count but I've tended to cut too much out in the past and ruin the silhouette, so I tried not to worry about geo as much.

There's something weird going on with the metal. I'm not quite sure what I'm doing wrong, but the transitions between the green paint and the metal are really ugly and abrupt.

I really need to continue to develop my texturing skills,so please let me know where I can improve! All C&C greatly appreciated :)
