This premiered at CES, it's a windows 8.1 tablet with a wacom digitizer, palm rejection, 2 gb ram, 64gb ssd and atom processor.
For those of us not making surface pro 3 bucks it might be a nifty tool for taking around. The technology seems to trump previous write/drawing style tablets out there in this size, but no reviews are in yet.
My only question is how limited you are by the atom processor, I don't know what these are capable of these days.
It should be noted that this uses a different digitizer tech than Wacom Cintiqs and Tablets. It requires a battery powered stylus. I don't know if that's positive or negative.
yeah 4k .PSDs with layers probably not going to happen, but it might be good for single layer sketches, maybe sculptris? I think it'd be more of an inspirational tool, but even then the price would have to come down a bit.

I mean how many layers can you even get with photoshop under 2gb of ram for say a 4k res psd?
If money is a concern, perhaps look into a used surface pro tablet instead. Alot more bang for the buck!
You don't, I have a vivotab note (comparable specs) and you can not paint in photoshop with this thing. Very very laggy last time I tried.
But great programs like Clip Studio are fantastic on it and almost as good functionally. Also much better touch interface.
