- I muted your video almost instantly. The music is annoying and quite loud.
- I think you need some labels. Half the time, i wasnt sure what I was looking at. Concept art? 3d? compositing? I dunno.
-You dont have any contact info. You just say your blog site. You need contact info on your reel.
Alright I'm going to follow the same and post some notes as well.
- I thought your music was fine but that's just me.
- I do agree with slipsius on there not being any labels. Some of it I could read as 3d and others I don't know what. Also you do need contact info as well.
- I suggest that you put a few of your best work in your reel and not everything that you do. Because near that end of the video I already forgot what you had before and employers are not going to want to scrub through your video to look at what they missed. They will just move on to the next.
- The fly-throughs of your environments at the end are way to fast and jumpy.
- And finally the generic slide effects were throwing me off. I was trying to look at it all but everything was going by too quickly, hence the comment earlier about only picking a few things and not everything.
p.s. put your real name and not your tag name so that people can identify who it belongs too.
Thanks Slipsius and dschmidt3d really like the notes , very usefull. In fact is just a kind of recopilation of works from 2014, and cause iam generalist hehe, have a bit of all sculpt, Renders, acrchiviz, lowpoly scenes , etc etc.
I will take note of yours notes and reedit another one whit less renders and more time whit evey render. Personal information email, etc
Agreed that you should be more selective of what you put in your showreel, remember that a portfolio is only as good as it's worst entry, and it's better to have too little than too much, at least with too little an employer can ask to see more if they like what they see.
Also I would recommend you maybe think about specialising, it seems to me that buildings/environments are your strong point, so your time might be best spend focussing on that and mastering those things.
