I'm struggling to get the texture size for the trike down to something reasonable. I'm planning on using 2 1k textures for the character and 3 2k for the trike.
Thanks, I'm going to have to experiment. I'll try yellow in places with grey or dull maroon. Maybe the front section will be a completely different colour as well.
That would give you issues. You have zero space between UV shells. Detail from one shell will bleed over onto the other shells during the bake. Like Commador said, you need padding around each shell
