So these are on my giveaway thread as well, but I thought a specific discussion about it might be beneficial. I'm trying to use SD to get a hand painted look. So far I've gotten some pretty good results with some help from Sweetangel0467 and rogelio olguin's rock videos - but... it's feeling like any tweaks I do can instantly break it. Would love to hear thoughts and opinions.
I think it looks really good so far. The edge highlights look nice, but I think the darks could use a little more value variance. Even the edge highlights could benefit from a little value variance as it stands.
It's hard to help with the technical side though without seeing your substance graph to try and work out the kinks.
that's looking lush and thus proves that substance has a place within the handpainted artworld! I'm actually really enjoying the bright colours... it makes a change from grey and brown aha
Revisiting the cliffs in SD after I finished that lava rock thing. I've gotten a little more control over the "paint" but the results aren't as good as the initial tests. I think I can balance some of the rock "sculpts" and maybe produce some better results.
Hey man... sorry I hadn't logged in in awhile. Ummm Idk.. lemme think about the best way to do a breakdown of these. Life's been really packed again lately.

My son Jonas and I decided to play around with the settings a bit!
Another try at it. Pretty good this go round I think. Feedback appreciated.
