On small stuff this isn't an issue but once I start going to a larger model the texture tiling becomes quite noticeable.
Does anyone know a cheat to get around this?
And will the Quixel team be adding something to help hide the tiling?
If you are talking about the smart materials themselves, The dev team is always working on better tiling, and the latest ones I´ve seen look a lot better than the ones that are included in the suite right now, so a lot of progress is being made there! You can also hide tiling with overlaying the same material and masking it out in various ways, a good trick I use alot! Hope that answers the question!
Oh, and on a side not, the materials that are included right now are scanned from a 1x1m surface, and if memory serves me right the final megascans will be 2x2 meter scans so there will automatically be much less tiling!
