Thanks to everyone on this forum page and Allgorithmic for inspiring me to create some textures again.
I just got started with this program, but it seems like it can do anything.
I tried some concrete, ceramic tiles, mud/dirt, rubber, wood floors but I wanted to show what I have been making so far.
All these are WIP and took about 3 hours on average so far...
In no particular order...
kanga - Thanks man! Substance is super powerful!
Sammy101 - about 1 month so far, but it makes sense to me like "smart obejects and photoshop filtering to blend textures...veerrrry similar.
roboy - I can show some stuff soon! Thanks!
Hi Daniel,
Thanks , I feel that I am far from a master...the thing is Substance Designer is pretty easy once you get the hang of things...I watch lots of videos and follow all the forums too.
As far as what material is the most challenging...hard to say, they all present their own challenges, but I had a hard time with muddy ground, I ended up not posting it...cause I felt like it was the worst of my learnings, but it was the 2nd one I ever worked on.
With all the stuff I see on the Substance Designer polycount master thread, you can see anything is possible right now it seems.
Thanks for your answer!
I'm working with Substance for a week now and I find the learning curve a bit steep but it's really the endless possibilities that are almost overwhelming. I think, too, that you can do anything with the tool. The main challenge is to break the patterns, the procedural feeling.

one more slightly duller wood.
C&C welcome.
One more update! Scratches and rendered in Marmoset2-
Added more directional dust and drips grunge to the subway wall tiles.
I prefer the black and yellow
You're a master! At this point, what type of material do you find the most difficult/challenging to create with Substance Designer?
