Hello Guys,
I found this concept art of a Tyranid a while ago by Rayph Beisner.

I really liked the style and decided to do a 3D model of it. Here is the first part of my WIP, just giving it some forms before starting to sketch big details.
Tips appreciated.

If it helps, it might make life easier to separate the exoskeleton plates as separate subtools since there seems to be a lot of interconnected forms in physically awkward places underneath the armor.
I'm not sure if I should separate into different subtools the inside muscle and the bones that cover it, for example in the legs and arms.

I also made my IMGUR account so it's easier to see my images, sorry it took me this long.
I'm almost finished with the body's low poly. I'll then start doing the weapon.
Here is a screnshot of how it's looking so far.

Here it's the low poly with just the diffuse, AO and Cavity. Need to tweak the textures and detail them a little more.

Here is a screenshot of how it's looking posed inside maya without the textures.
Here are my final renders and a link to the turntable. Couldn't upload a higher quality video using my account.
