hey started modeling a dragon and well i think i got the general mesh done but that's from my eye, i need to know if there's any way i can bring more shape and life to this little creature:poly142::poly142::poly142:.
there no head ATM as i plan to add that on sepratly, and this is meant for unity and i can add more polys if i need to.

what concept or concepts are you going of off?
but my knee jerk reaction is that it is too thin looking add some mass to this bad boy!
I think you could give his rear legs a ring loop too, this is better for deformations.
Good luck with your project
thanks crazy_pixel and good luck with yours
heres what it looks like atm...i know WTF is this, i went more into programing, but i will now work on the head and body shape adding the claws and spikes
the sliders for the colors are basic RGB channels.
thank you for your comments they really do help, i love feedback, helps people make more out of things.
you are missing so much of the shape of the concept, not to mention the size. you need to beef up your dragon.
Really look at that concept and maybe in different colors paint over the different shapes you see in it and try to mimic that form in the model.
Comparative anatomy wise I'd say the D&D type dragon's body is the hind quarters of a lion and the arms & torso of a body builder. It's always a good idea to research animal anatomy when doing fantasy creatures, it will give you some ideas how to tackle the musculature.
Don't worry about sticking extremely close to real world anatomy, most winged dragons don't have the actual musculature to support their wings but we mostly accept what we see because it's cool looking.
i feel like i have gotten alot more shape into this, may be hard to see in the pictures but its alot more fatter/ beefcake.
the detail will be added on with bumps later on in the making.
wait should i do a hight poly version in sculptress and then export the bump maps onto the low poly version in maya?
Silhouette definitely looks better, I'm starting to see the gestural forms of major muscle groups and of the pose.
On that note, would you be up for a volunteer artist to work with you on making dragon art assets for you to use?
the game is one where you create your own dragon and say survive in a world where u build up your lair and weapons to defeat bigger bosses.
