Been a while since I've been on here. House work and work in general has turned me into a bad person. I'm doing art for a board game on the side and right now I'm doing the different alien races (8 of them). I'm working on a human race based on people who have been abducted by aliens and started their own colony on a different planet atm.

2D is my weak point so I've started little material balls as one type of warm up or when I have a moment. Back lit skin and shiny fabric. Hope to get better at this stuff.

Started a helmet sculpt this evening. Feel like working on another painting for the board game though so I'm stopping for now.

Did a little more helmet progress. Lots of process learning and tweaking so not a huge visual difference. Just some insert mesh stuff and more pieces over top the rough sculpt.

Still more to do. Took a break though and messed with rendering in Zbrush for the first time. No textures or anything so it looks pretty meh. But I'm glad I started learning that process.

I like your helmet sculpt especially at the back how you've arranged the vents and buckles. It looks very Destiny I'm looking forwards to seeing more

Thanks! Yeah it's actually from a Destiny concept so I'm glad the vibe is there haha. I am tweaking the textures a bit from the concept though and fudged some of the other parts. I had to just make up the back. Forgot to post a progress shot here though. Been so busy I feel like I'm crawling along on this one!

Sooo slow. Painting my kitchen and half bath. Trying to get the house freakin done so I can free up some time... working on the low poly.
