Hi all!
I'm in my third (final) year and tutors are really encouraging/pushing for us to start applying for jobs. I've made portfolios in the past but I just instantly hate them. Decided I finally have to do this and I made a website using WIX. I would really appreciate feedback on the work, the website, the best way to go from here or anything else you can think of.
I'M GONNA DO THIS. HNNG
thanks for your time

Secondly, I would have a resume, even if it is just a PDF with whatever experience and skills you have.
A few things you can do yourself is ask yourself what type of job are you looking for? Right now your portfolio is very painterly heavy, but it is a mixture of both environment and character work. Focusing yourself to a discipline is very important, even at small companies you'll often see divides between character and environment artists.
If you are leaning towards character art then showcase your ability to sculpt, understand proportions and anatomy of both stylization and realism.
If you are leaning towards environments then look into composition and lighting. Learn UE4 really well, learn current gen texture workflows using programs like Substance or Quixel Suite.
After you've decided what you want to do I think you should try to phase out the unrelated work and replace it with much stronger work from within your chosen discipline.
For a portfolio you want to present only the absolutely best work you, the cream of the crop so to say, so you might want remove some of the work you're currently presenting. The LoL character and the astronaut are pretty good, but Bigby Wolf doesn't share much likeness with the one from the game or comic (your version looks kind of overweight or obese) and the Gir model is extremely simple so there's no good reason to show it.
The environment models look pretty decent but they're all pretty damn generic and boring as well as badly lit.
Your 2D work is pretty good, some of the paintings should've probably been rendered a bit further if you were intending to use them on your portfolio.
The webdesign looks pretty nice, but functionally it's not very good as it takes too long to browse through your work and it takes too many clicks to save down the individual images. I would just ditch WIX altogether as most of the (functionally) worst portfolios seems to use it, as you want a portfolio that relies as little as possible on javascript or flash.
You'll want to get your own domain as well as that will look a lot more professional).
I hope I'm not coming off like an asshole (just trying to be honest), but I think you'll need to improve your work a bit before you'll be able to find a job with it (I'm not employed yet so I could be wrong). Good luck though!
