Intuos 5 with ZBrush trouble

Hi guys, I'm having an issue I don't quite understand.

I mainly use a cintiq but have recently purchased an Intuos 5 to use for modeling, browsing, and sculpting to help with some arm issues.

The problem is, whenever I try to use it for Zbrush, it acts like ALT is pressed all the time. I can never sculpt inward, unless I change to zSub, but then still pressing Alt does nothing and I cant invert it, nor can I smooth (instead, it creates noise). Has anyone had this issue and have a way to fix it?

I'm really confused as to why it's even happening and it's very frustrating to think I might not be able to use the tablet as an option for zBrush.

try turning on window's on-screen keyboard, usually it somtimes fixes wierd keyboard issues.

so I tried that, unfortunately it didn't work, BUT I did try something else. If I use the tablet first when zbrush opens instead of the cintiq, then the tablet works fine and the Cintiq has the invert/alt issue. It'd be great to have a way to swap between both however I want but at least now I know I need to use the intuos first when zb opens if I want to use that.
