Forcing quads question (3ds max)

Hi,I just used one of the HSDS modifiers to my object, and used the Force Quads option, but I worry something might come out wrong because of how odd some quads look like. (the vertex in seen in the middle is just one single vertex, not multiple jumbled up vertices)

Also is there any better option to triangulate my object instead of the HSDS modifier? The HSDS modifier together with turbosmooth has way too much poly count.
