Which is better for rendering Quadro K620 or Radeon R9 280?

I have a Radeon R9 280 in my custom built PC but I find rendering animations in Modo quite time consuming I have a complex scene animation and it took me 16 hours to render. Would a Nvidia Quadro K620 render animations faster and be better for 3D modelling applications? I know that the K620 is a budget Quadro card but thats all I can afford at the moment should I stick with the Radeon R9 280?

Modo renderer doesn't use GPU for rendering. There is Octane for Modo, but I think that they still use CUDA for rendering, so you will need Nvidia card.

Thanks for the reply so does modo use the CPU for rendering instead? I am using a AMD FX6100 six core 3.3ghz what would you recommend instead of a FX6100?

The AMD FX-8350 will give you up to a 60% boost in render speed. Make sure it's compatible with your motherboard.

Hm be careful, as far as I know are those cards mainly used to improve viewport rendering speeds and not for offline rendering, as nearly every offline renderer uses CPU only. More cores = linearly more render speed (right?), so make sure you have a CPU with 8 threads or more. (i7 or 8 cores AMD or higher, i5 only has half)

Also i dont know about modo, but turn down global illumination settings and turn off AO until you are happy with your result and do the final render, that saves tons of time
