I'm looking for feedback on my current character piece. I'm mostly looking for feedback on the texturing, as I plan to do a bit of tweaking to the geometry (namely the hands), but any and all critique would be appreciated! I'm planning on adding scratches etc - the texturing I have at the moment is more of a base to work off.
Modelled in 3DS Max, textured in Mudbox and Photoshop. Rendered in Marmoset.
Add variation to all maps, add detail to areas were the metal would get worn. Battle scars, dents, scratches, pieces of deteriorating metal, etc. Was there paint underneath? Show whats under the top layer. Perhaps cleaner metal from scratches, show that.
There are cogs/gears and wires yet it appears to have the same (mostly) texture. bring that out some more.
Aside from the hands, the model could also use some more detail work. Especially the legs.
Also when posing a character, T-pose is not very presentable, perhaps more relaxed.

I think the arms are too short. You might lengthen the upper arms or just give him huge hands.
