Hi! Lately I've been experiencing a lot of issues with the suite.
- I load a saved project, and the layers were all there, but they were transparent (the image for the texture in the window was showing a transparent sphere, like if it wasn't able to find the resources).
- After that happened several times, I restarted the computer, and next time I opened Quixel, it would not show any layers in my project!
- I uninstalled and reinstalled Quixel, just to find that now it got even worst and it crashes when I start DDO.
I'm in Windows 8.1, using Photoshop CC 2014. I didn't change anything in Quixel Folders or anything, I was just working with Quixel normally when it became crazy... I don't remember the last action it performed correctly, but I'm pretty sure I was tweaking the dynamasks for a material.
I'm attaching a screenshot of the crash information. When I click on the OK button, I keep being presented with a very similar crash window and have to click OK again... and it shows up to around 20 crash windows that I must close individually.
I was trying to record a tutorial on how to use Quixel together with Blender, but these kind of issues and unstability are making it impossible!
Thank you!

Hopefully they can get it fixed, I'm looking forward to your tutorial
Happy New Year bro 8)
Cheers,

I hope it gets more stable really soon!
Happy New Year to you too!
Very sorry for this, Do you remember if you used the "Save as" function? It should not make a difference of course but I want to make sure so we know if there is a problem with it.
Did you do anything differnt when installing the suite this time around, change install path or something? Are you running it as admin?
I probably installed it in a different path, as the default path was not where I install all my software... however, I'm planning on deleting everything from Quixel and install once again in the default path to see if that solves the problem to some extent. I am running it as admin, yes
If you reinstall make sure there are no non-alphanumerical characters in the path as that would cause a problem!
Hope everything works this time
Does it have anything to do with the Save As option?
Thank you!
The reason why I used the Save As option, and due to the problems I wasn't able to figure it out, was that I wanted to know something, maybe you can explain
When you use Save As (in case it fails, when it's fixed), the project is saved in a different xml file storing the different parameters in the quixel materials for the same .psd files, or would it duplicate the .psd files with it?
I'd like to know it because sometimes I would like to try different color combinations or changes in the materials, without destroying the previous setup, but photoshop files with Quixel become really heavy, so duplicating each time I want to do that may take a huge disk space :P
Thank you beforehand!
(DDO has stopping working. A problem caused the program to stop working. Program will shut down and you will get a message if there is a sulotion to the problem)
3DO, NDO and the suite seems to work fine though. tried uninstalling, removing all files, redownload and reinstalling but it still wont start correctly.
Thanks for the screenshot and for translating it (
Here are the most common fixes to that particular problem (I´ve mentioned a few before here)
- Run both PS and Suite as Admin
- Make sure that your anti virus isn´t blocking the suite
- Increase the amount of space on the scratch drives in PS
- Make sure you have enough diskspace
- Reset photoshop preferences by holding ctrl+alt+shift as it boots up (make sure to save anything before that you dont want to lose before doing so)
Let me know if any of this help! Sorry for your troubles.
im running windows 8.1 and photoshop cs6
ndo and 3do both work fine just ddo doesnt work
forced uninstall and reinstalled
now I am getting the second error screen again and a loop of selecting which version of photoshop.
I redid the basic steps cleared photoshop made sure everything admin again ect.
try to uninstall the sute, delete all the runtime-folders in the appdata/roaming/quixel directory, reinstall the suite and see if that does the trick!
