Hi everyone, I hope you had a great Christmas
I've been working this; character for my university brief
I'm trying to make him look stylized and handpainted-ish? I've followed the Dota 2 texturing guide and I'm pretty happy with the result so far..
However, I'm trying to improve the texture and I guess right now I'm kinda stuck with making the fur looks better..
Should I be much bolder and make the fur clearer?
and this is him with helmet on
I haven't got around to texturing the helmet yet, but i will be soonnn
Thanks

You could stand to ground the character with a subtle vertical gradient, though! Right now the feet area is drawing more attention than it perhaps should be. Did a REALLY quick example.
The albedo/diffuse could be a little more bold with color variation, too. Less thin lines and more bold, painterly strokes.
I also added more bold fur, but only toward the head area, and I think it's coming along nicely
I should be getting working on the Helmet and the sword.. but if you thin I could improve the body texture please let me know.
Thanks
And here it is without it
It doesnt look as hand-painted as much as I want it too thou, so I'll be be touching/improving on the helmet texture
Tanks
I've took the mouse and re-adjust the post in zBrush, it only seem like I rotate the tail.
I'm making a stand for it;
But I'm thinking of making it standing on a cheese block or something, to make it abit more interesting
Thanks again
Thank you for the kind comment I know exactly what you mean that he feel really static
I tried put him on the cheese stand and I adjust his post to give him abit more character? I hope you'll feel different too
And this is the old pose on the cheese; with this I want him to look like he's facing something bigger.
Any feedback is appreciated, Thanks
