A friend of mine got this for xmas, so I was playing around with it. I thought I`d pass it along, as I have seen several different threads asking about tablets for drawing and such. I was only able to try out the built in drawing tool, but it worked fantastic!! Im not sure if you can get photoshop, but the built in one is really nice. comes with a stylus that nicely tucks away into the tablet
Also, has built in hdmi, and can stream full 1080p and all that stuff. All for around $300, which is certainly a lot better than most tablets out there. Pretty good price, if you ask me. Especially for what you`re getting with it. The thing feels nice and solid too. I never felt like I was going to break it, even though I`m a big guy, and tend to feel like that a lot with new devices.
Give it a gander!

I'd try sketchbook or painter, photoshop isn't much for drawing on the tablets.
Well ok its a "form" of pressure control I guess you could argue.

Never thought much of tablets but am curious how useful they could be as an artist's tool.
I own the vivotab note 8 and i love it but it had kind of a rough launch. Not sure if the issues are fixed now but it had a problem with the tablet randomly not detecting the pen.
I don't know if it's been resolved yet but i need to send mine back a second time and haven't yet. *proceeds to check for software updates*
here's the forums where you can find tons of info.

The most impressive thing is people are having this issue but still love the device XD
Might try that DIY fix though...
I plan on getting a surface 2 to replace it though, the performance on the vivotab is great but due to the 2gb of ram i can only really use one program at a time and i can't use photoshop for painting (very jittery).
But Clip Studio and other programs have been great.
