She said they had been downloading a game since 09:00 GMT - and by 23:40 it was still not ready. "He says it's been his worst Christmas ever. "I think Xbox should compensate us all."
To be honest, all it would take is to just bring down the steam servers, and the vast majoriy of PC gamers would get screwed aswell.
No one is safe, we're all doomed.
I was aiming to get some BF4 playing done on my PS4 with my brother during xmas since we both have time off. Been unable to all day.
So we thought that given that EA has a 7 day trial for BF4 on the PC we could possibly do that instead.
Nope, vast majority of the day battlelog did not respond. No servers found, no stats, no ranks.. nada..
You know what we did in the end.. Bad Company 2! Built in browser, unaffected by all this bullcrap all together!
Despite that, I think someone should find these "hackers", string them up by their ballsacks in public and let them rot to death while people poke them with sticks.
Their "hack" attack, does absolutely nothing but cause the customers, who already voted with their wallets to support what ever corporation they picked.
Sony or MS already have our money, the loss they encounter financially from players not being able to use their services for a day is minuscule in the scope of things.
In the end the only result is people being pissed off, not at sony or MS, but at some imbred halfwits sitting, sweat-riddled and pumped up on redbull, flexing their ability to purchace access to various botnet-time or what ever you want to call the Chinese servers they were getting to bombard the server farms stateside.

Totally first world problems to be angry and annoyed because of one or two days of downtime due to these farkwads, I know.. But this has been far too frequent this year, and its getting really old.
I dont know how true or accurate this site is.. but if you live near these guys.
Go dig a canal through their power lines and to the world a big favor and punch them in the dick when you see them. Even if they are under-age. http://www.lizardsquad.info/
If its a DDOS attack there is only so much they can do right? Its not like its an actual hack but just flooding the networks more or less like someone driving 100,000 extra cars into an area of a city during rush hour?

Steam offline works well, and many games use different or their own servers for hosting, you'd need to bring down Steam, Blizzard, EA, and LoL to disable online gaming similar to what has been done to the console services.
"Kim Dotcom, an internet entrepreneur who became famous after authorities raided his New Zealand mansion in 2012 for running a file-sharing site called MegaUpload, attempted to restore service to Sony and Microsoft's online gaming networks Thursday night — by bargaining with the hacker collective allegedly attacking the networks."

I might say the same for yourself, since you replied to a 4 year old post, but you're probably a bot that doesn't know any better
