Hey guys, as the thread title says i am searching for a way to render out a normalmap with alpha as 32bit TGA.
Usually with Max or Xnormal i would just get my bakes, without padding and let a tool select the alpha compose all my bakes and apply padding in Photoshop, but Mayas Maps are coming out with black alpha.
How do people baking in Maya mask their stuff?

Or use Transfer Maps, bake diffuse for a bake with padding. (again with the white material)
*** I wrote that the file format need to be the same, but it doesn't. In the Alpha map bake properties you just need to make sure you're using a format that supports an alpha channel: TIF, DDS, EXR.. (sorry was too lazy to edit the image )
