Hi all, this is my first serious attempt at zbrush character modelling. I've learned a lot of zTools over the last couple days and I'm liking zbrush more and more. Also I'll keep this thread updated! Any feedback is appreciated. The awesome concept is by James McDonald. At this point I'm only focussing on the big guy, not the robot
Thanks Heather
I can't seem to figure that seam out tho...in 3d coat there's no seam..well there was but I painted/fixed it in 3d coat...The seam is not in diffuse/ao..not sure what's going on yet.
Worked it out
Rigged him and put him in a pose or two, which one do you prefer? Or maybe an idea for a new pose Almost done and ready for a new project!
In all honesty I'm not feeling it. The specularity feels way too even across the character and the knee up pose makes him look like he's injured ( imo at least. )
And I wouldn't screengrab straight out of zbrush and put it on your website.
Have you thought about making the character's weapon like in the concept art? I think posing him with it would be really sweet. Love what you have regardless though.

I think you should give him bigger hands like on the concept.
I am excited about updates, keep it up
Painting the details..head/helm and neck done...need to touch up the rest a bit more and fix a decent material for the guy.
Thanks for taking a look
Otherwise, looks great! Keep going!

Just my 2 cents.
