Started working on a new project now that we finished the riot challenge im in a League fever right now!

Starting on Popeye VI model (based on a concept created by - Vovosunt). check the concept and his deviant art here - Vovosunt

day 2 so far on this. i think i have a pretty good pase to build on.

Nice mix of cartoony and realistic proportions. One suggestion I can think of is putting cotton or foam on the inside of the gloves so that the transition in the silhouette from the gloves to her arms doesn't look abrupt or harsh, makes it soft and fluffy. Or pull it up a bit so that the opening lines up with the joints

I'm not digging the girth of the legs and their proportional relations to the arms especially. I know the concept has it otherwise, but I feel like it loses the original Vi proportions with really thick legs. I'd pull them back to make it feel more like Vi, less Popeye. The arms and outfit should be enough of an homage.

Everything else seems peachy .

Yeah and I toned it down a bit on the legs already from the concept. I'll take another look again tonight and compare it with VIs legs. Also someone said her feet are too big... I don't see it.

I would suggest adjusting gloves a bit, the part that covers the forearms should be a bit thinker.

Her feet don't look big because her thighs are interfering with the comparison of proportions. Proportions work best in relation, and the relation right now is them legs. My personal hope is that the legs are thinned up a bit, but your call.

good call guys ill work on those tonight. and yeah i noticed her ankles are super thick. and ill make that thicker bud.

worked on the legs some more, touched up the size of the shoes and worked on the gloves as well. touched up the eyes as well and smaller areas.

Edit: I just realized I cant mirror her face she has that "VI" tattoo on her cheek and another tattoo on her neck area. Have to go back and re-unwrap and re UV everything oh the joy

unwrap is done, laying down some solid colors but im noticing some areas that can use some improvement.

going to go back and and model that some stuff in and and clean up others and of course keep working on the hair.

Lowpoly and unwrap done this time. Went back and redid the face and some areas. baked the AO but needs some cleaning up.

Adding some more colors to the model, still touching up and cleaning up the AO as well.

Some more work done. Im starting to like it. Still need to redo the hair texture and clean up some more areas and of course continue on the texture. but its coming along

In that last shot her skin looks really red like a sunburn almost, try bringing it back to a more neutral skin color. Good progress though!
