Free or affordable software for Virtual Classroom/Live Streaming + Chat.

Hey guys,
I was curious if anyone knows of any good affordable or free software for Virtual Classrooms. I'm thinking in the lines of Adobe Connect. Maybe Twitch could work?
I'm asking because it would be fun to try and hold a live lecture in some field of game development or what not.
Not considering any commercializing in the process, purely out of interest and for fun. Therefor no real budget to be fair.
