Hi everyone!
I was going to start this post with "hey, art lovers" but thought that might be a bit forward for our first meeting. I'm going to blatantly copy and paste some stuff here:
We are Compulsion Games, a small studio based in Montreal. We like to make beautiful, fully 3D games in ye olde Unreal Engine 4. Our first project was
Contrast, which released in November last year. Quite a lot of people liked it, and we're very proud.
We're currently 10 people in the studio, although we do also work with long term partners that have been working with us since before we shipped Contrast.
Were looking for an experienced environmental artist, to work with us in the studio on our new game. Some information about the role:
- This is a full time position, although we would consider a 6 month contract for the right person.
- Ideally it will start in January.
- It will be based in our studio in Saint Henri, Montreal, so the person must be eligible to work in Canada. We will help with relocation costs for the right person.
- Were an independent team, and do not function like big studios. We dont have leads delegating tasks every day youll be making art most of the day, while participating in creative discussions and helping to train our junior artists.
What were looking for:
- Someone with 5+ years of experience working as an environmental artist. High intermediate or senior, the salary offered will depend on your experience.
- Someone with passion for both art and games. Were a small, enthusiastic team, and everyone here loves what they do.
- Experience with Unreal (particularly UE4) is a big plus.
- Someone who wants to work on smaller, innovative games, but still has big ambitions for the quality of the art they want to create.
- Someone who is competent, and wants to make creative work.
We're really proud of the work we do, and we encourage a craft-like approach to creating our games. If you've worked in big studios and are looking to contribute more of your personality and creativity to your games, and aren't so interested in bureaucracy, then we may be the right place for you.
Please send an email to jobs at compulsiongames.com if you're interested.
Thank you
Sam from Compulsion
