I need to learn to actually use zbrush aside from my current practice to only add some small details to my models in zbrush. I am looking to make a character bust but I lack knowledge on how to do most of facial features correctly. I have my own base mesh done so I don't need to use scary things called zspheres and such. Are there any freely available tutorials that go more or less step by step on how to this thing?

Because there's a diference between how to use Zbrush as a program, vs how to sculpt the human face properly.
Not free, but plenty cheap enough for what you'll learn.
really? you don't think i did that as first choice?
/sarcasm off
I was specifically asking on sculpting face tutorials, all tutorials that you get through google or pixologic are your standard basic tutorials too learn the program. I know how to use zbrush (at least what was shown there). but there are no tutorials that specifically go through this topic so you can actually replicate it, aside from few of them that appear to explain only specific parts. like how to do lips and ears, I am looking to create the entire face from base mesh not just one element on a sphere or something.
I guess I can find my way around it but I would still need to create higher poly stuff in 3ds max to get a decent result.
I just looked at your deviantart page (get an actual portfolio site, deviantart is a major repellent to people looking to hire). Your work is actually not bad, you show a clear knowledge of form and how to produce them in 3d.
So, let me tell you, that's really all you need. There is no magic zbrush tutorial for how to make a face that will make you any more able than you already are. All the good tutorials out there carry very similar messages: Observe, replicate, revise.
So that's my advice to you, observe what you want to create, try to replicate it, and revise it later. Ad infinitum.
Thank you for your advice, really appreciate it. I was considering doing likeness study at some point.
even though im not a character artist i really need to check these videos out, looks like alot of fun
Oof...totally guilty of misreading your post. I'm a jerk. Sorry
Yeah sorry your original post didn´t say much about that, it sounded like you were just asking for tutorials on "learn to actually use zbrush". My bad.
