This is our last project for Block 3 at the DAVE (Digital Animation and Visual Effects) School. We basically needed to design, model, re-topo, bake, texture, and put in unreal our own individual thrones.

Poly Count is 5436 tris where I was given a limit of 6000.
Any critique and advice to further improve this work would be appreciated :)

More than anything, work on your material definition. The textures aren't very convincing. Study all you can as you progress about materials, textures, PBR, etc. One big lesson to learn is the importance of the roughness/glossiness map. That's the real difference maker that a lot of people don't take advantage of to the fullest.

    Cool idea.

I don't know if you are doing yourself a favor with that skull design. Either follow an existing design more closely or use a realistic skull as reference, but right now it will be almost impossible to come up with your own design for a complicated topic like that. Best would be to keep it as simple as possible and concentrate more on the chair itself and a few props.

I guess I wanted to challenge myself with this type of design and I do understand your point on focusing more on the chair itself. Thank you for your comment, I'll be sure to take note of it and try to do better :)
