Hey everyone, a few weeks back I posted a low poly example of an environment I was working on for one of the units at my university. I had to hand it in today and just thought I should share the result with you all.
I've also got another environment that I was working on in tandem with this which was also handed in.
A couple of things though, being as it was my first real attempts at an environment, I definitely became too ambitious with them and tried to complete them both within the 12 weeks we had. I should of approached something smaller and more focused.
Regardless of this I made the most of what I could and I'm pretty proud of the result. I would love some feedback on them as I will most likely look to return to them after taking some time for the holidays.
In terms of what they are, the first set of photos shows the run up to a temple in a mountain setting.
The second set is for a death match style map with some gameplay elements like the sacrifice pit (Think moon door GoT).

Second Environment
Quick video of the Second environment - I scrapped this together quickly just to help give a better idea of its layout, so I'm sorry about the jankyness

Replies
- misses eye-catchers / detail
- rework the grass, looks way too generic and does not fit the overall scene (use more than planar base mesh)
- the top of the pilars seems to have a weird texture that does not fit with the bottom one
- why did you choose such a highpoly floor while combining it with such a lowpoly rock surrounding, it does not fit well
The second environment:
- rework the lighting, it's way too dark
- can't give any more critic since i see barely what's going on here.
Just my impression, i am a noob.
