Just launched my first pack of character assets

I bought these as the youtube animation videos looked really impressive. As a complete Unity noob, I can't follow the online examples for importing and using animated characters - when I select a prefab in Unity 4.6 I don't get the model/animate/rig tabs in the import pane; is there a step-by-step guide on how to use these characters anywhere? Thanks!
