Project Outline
This shanty town project is something I have been wanting to do for quite sometime. Ever since I came across all this awesome references on CG Textures. However I had been working on my Masters in Project Management, so it was on hold for about a year and a half. But now with only two weeks left of that madness, I can start planning this out. It will be a floating shanty town on the water, in the mountains with an Asian flair.
Unreal Engine 4 Goals
Dive into Unreal Engine 4.
Learn the new shader creation systems.
Learn the new blueprint system.
Learn the new terrain system.
Project Goals
Create a small scale environment based on a shantytown on the river.
Utilize new construction techniques focused around new next gen tech.
Water shader technology & possible buoyancy physics for boats and town structures.
Good start so far, you got quality reference images. A lot of grungy textures im seeing and i love it... i'd say the hardest part of this project is going to be water shader + buoyancy.. Anyways, good luck and ill be watching
Yeah water shaders should prove interesting and I have no idea about the buoyancy part... Might be one of those things where I need to jump on epics twitch.tv stream to see if its even doable.
