Independent Study Environment

Hey guys, so this last semester, I worked on an independent, trying to create a small contained environment. This is the first full environment I have created, so I understand that it is not amazing, but I am still happy with it. It is not as polished as it could be also. The main problem I seemed to have was the rock surrounding the tree, and figuring out how to paint it. Please critique this piece! Thank you!

You need much more detail to your textures. If you do something with a sort of bright style like this, the textures need to really speak. There isn't much there. I'd recommend studying a lot of texture painting work from other artists:
