Bit Fry, an indy game studio in New Hampshire that's working on a AAA-quality title, is in need of a very strong *environmental* texture artist with the ability to hand paint/sculpt textures/surfaces that are a blend of realism and a yet fairly stylized (think Pixar-esque qualities).
I failed to mention int he title, that the emphasis of this work is very much on environmental textures (grass, leaves, trees, ground surfaces, rocks, and other man made objects). It's very much a stylized world, so the keen mix of enough realism but in a stylized way that fits the color and tone is important. It's a challenging effort because we can't just nail realism and call it a day, in fact it's been described by our Art Director as the most challenging project he's ever worked on, and he's worked on CoD, The Last of Us, and Uncharted.
This is an Unreal 4 based title, so any knowledge about the shading within the engine and its effects on textures is desirable, but not necessary.
Pay is market+ rates, work from anywhere, any time of day, as long as you can kick it with ultra HQ work for this very special project.
You'll be joining a team of absolute all-stars with over 300 game credits to their collective names, including numerous award winning titles.
The need is urgent however so if you don't have bandwidth in the next 20-30 days, it's not going to work.
