Sun Goddess Karma Splash Art

Hi everyone! Here is my first entry (wish I’d heard about this contest sooner...), one of my favourite champs is Karma, and it seems like her Sun Goddess skin splash really needs an update, so I’m going to give it a try! I'm pretty sure she doesn't use her fans except when she dances so I left those out of her pose. As you can see, deciding how to model her legs was driving me crazy...:snarl:

Once I got her legs in an acceptable state I worked on adding her costume, and then started inking in photoshop:

So next steps for me are to figure out some background and composition, and either put in some basic colour, or try grey scale to figure out lighting. I haven’t done this illustrative style before so I’m pretty nervous about the lighting and colouring...

I got really busy for a while there, but I'm back and this thing is still a WIP. I decided to redo the inking stage and have started trying to put a rough background in:
