[Riot Art Contest] - Freljord Morgana
Hoi everyone!
Bad luck I couldn't start earlier. So... although Morgana got a new Skin after the last season, I decided to create a Freljord skin for my all time favourite champion. I think this may fit showing Morgana as a kind of shaman/druid/sage. (Even the name could be changed in Morrigan for the setting.)
Starting with the very first sketches, followed by the last WIPs and the current WIP.

I think a little more sinister look on her face would fit her better than this calm and composed one.
About the face tattoos: I dont know how it's handled on her skins overall, but I'd go with something that looks at least somewhat like her original and change it from there...propably something simpler instead of too detailed. Maybe a mix between 3 and 7.
About your WIP: You'd do well in planning in the wings right now, because they're a crucial element of the champ and they need a lot of space. I see a grey form on the left that might be a wing, but that looks like it comes out of her arm.
Btw, I have the feeling that her head is too big, but that might just be my imagination.

The grey form was the first rough wing and you are right. The wings will be the next step but they didn't find their way into the WIPs. Also I take a closer look at the head and face... it is a good point to change something.
Same for the pattern after there are two or three left to choose.

Pattern 03 and 07 are my current choices for the tribal paintings. At the moment I like the very simple 03 most.
