I want to practice PBR texturing and I'll try to use Substance Designer and Substance Painter only. I used SD before, but now I decided to try Painter too.
Generally in any art or design field, you want to lay our your general proportions first before going into details, to make sure everything lines up and makes sense.
About the model, your edges are way too sharp, that will not bake good at all, try softening them up (even more than in real life) for best results ; )

JennaJenga, I don't know. It gives me the feeling of overall proportions. It is easier to work on details if large forms are placed correctly.

The feet of the bipods looks too small imo, same for the handle, it's too thin I think.
Only critic would be the shoulderrest: it looks to weak to me to hold the recoil of this weapon.
