I'm still playing with the design while trying to keep the composition of the original skin. First thing changed was the pauldron. Now it has animal rib inserts rather than the sword blades the original had. I gave him an archery chest guard over his left breast, but I'm finding that it's getting lost under the hood.
changes made with the design and composition. Some more asymmetrical elements, like the the hood and the breast plate. Also took the diamond that's usually on his pauldrond and implemented it as a fastener for the breast plate.
I have a free weekend ahead of me, so I'm hoping to update by Monday! Feedback is welcome, I'm still blocking this thing out and trying different things out.

been referencing more medieval armor and refining the design. I wanted to have the sculpting done by December 1st, but at this rate, I probably wont finish the sculpt until next weekend.
I love the direction this is going. It does seem like you lost a little bit if the rounder jaguar style head though. He is more lynx like now, though still awesome!

thanks. I tweaked the face a little with the time i had. I feel like the length of his hair might be pushing the look toward that of a lynx, hopefully this helps a little.
You should've given his face much more UV space. Probably like 25% out of total.
25% seems like a stretch, but i understand how the head should probably use a little more uv space. still glad that it holds up well when the texture is reduced to half size
