I'm pretty new to 3D modelling and Maya
So I have cut out this hole and I want to cut the same exact hole several more times
is there a faster way to do this then cut out each hole one by one along the the same object?
the new (fixed) Boolean tool is pretty great for doing this.
what do you mean with "new (fixed) boolean tool" when I use boolean it just cuts a hole and I still need to create and connect new vertices to keep quads
What Passerby means is to cut that face section out, with all the connecting edges to create the hole, vert snap to one of the vertical edges, and duplicate while snapping along the length of the piece, then merge the verts that are on top of each other. You'll want to do this on a new piece, not on top of the piece you already have.

After that just weld everything with a low threashhold
this is not working as least not in the way in which you describe it since they're no overlapping vertices.
