so after thinking about what i would like to make, I decided to do a vfx with zed involving his shurikens. the idea is to make his shurikens leave a crack on the floor while they pass by and also leave a shadow trail. i love working with dynamics and smoke so i ill just stick to what i know. will be done in 3ds max and maya and maybe houdini if needed.
so this is my reference, i know it might be messy but that's how i like it xD,
any who for the shurikens passing by, and leaving the crack trail, and the smoke trail i have braums ulti reference begin that that's how i want it to look well kind of, plus malphites crystal cracks coming out of the crack. As my reference the kind of crack i want to go for is the bottom left picture that kind of size, no braum ulti size begin that that's a little to big im still searching for a lot more reference especially for the smoke. but for now this is what i have for my WIP.
Yeah, good luck. Time is really important, and pre-rendering takes away a lot of it.

making fractures is easy once you get the hang of them xD

no i will be rendering the final piece. For now i'm just doing play blast test with real time, that way i don't waste so much time rendering each test
making fractures is easy once you get the hang of them xD
i'm having issues with the normals still trying to fix it up.
(Edit) fixed i just had the normal's facing the wrong way
