Hi there,
Pretty much two months ago I started working on my first game project in my spare time, working title 'Allison Road'.
Actually my background is film/vfx, however, I loved games ever since I can remember really.
I always wondered what it would take to make one, so finally I decided the best way to find out is to just try it myself x)
I love survival horror games, hence Allison Road will definitely have a heavy focus on horror.
I built major chunks of my first level in modo over the last two months and just started getting that stuff into UE4 bit by bit. Also recently started texturing my first assets, so yeah.. it's coming along slowly
Oh and last but not least: Finally I got my DK2 last week. OMG, what an amazing invention.
Been playing Alien: Isolation for quite a while over the weekend, and I'm blown away by how immersive it is with Rift. Just incredible.
I definitely want to try and make Allison Road for the Oculus Rift, so I thought I'd share my progress over here.
Anyways..
Talk soon
Chris

well you can load LODs manually if you wanted to! actually the geometry you see here isn't high-res at all. using normal maps to get the detail
