handpainted textures critique

I made 2 handpainted textures. The dirt/soil one is not done yet, but the bark is. Maybe some of you guys/girls could critique my work?

These textures are great! its hard to critique a texture on its own out of context, as far as i can tell the painting and form is looking good. It would be cool to see these in use, like on a tree, or a patch of ground etc. Keep it up

these are pretty darn nice. a lot better than what I can do. If you really want to push it further you could try adding more subtle variation in hues and tones. these ones kind of have that going on:
