Can someone help me out with an good advice how to build a scaffold plane "canvas" ?
It's a bit hard to create this crinkles and waves on the canvas just using max...
Is it a good idea to use the cloth moddifier for this purpose ?
Couldn't you just find some good material reference images and run it through a normal map program like nDo or b2m? Then map these onto some planes with a bit of low frequency noise. It might not look as good as sculpting it but it is an option.
Cloth modifier is perfect for this. You can take it into zbrush to do some finetuning but i wouldn't bother doing the whole thing in zbrush. It's much easier and faster with cloth modifier.
Thanx for the answer guys! I'm playing right now with marvelous designer, sculpting in max and the cloth moddifier arround, i will see what gives me the best result.
