This is my first topic here. And I want to share with you my last work that I do some time ago. The goal of this stuff was learn more about Unreal Engine 4. I did this scene using concept art by Ivan "real-sonkes" Smirnov. Here's link: http://real-sonkes.deviantart.com/art/Bilge-450009955
There is no atmoshperic particles and minimal post proccess effect in this scene, but I tried to do my best
I will be happy to hear some critique or feedback.
I like it. Definitely agree that the textures could use some more love. The lighting is ok, some parts of it look really good but the blowout on the cannon ports and then exit is pretty strong and kind of distracts you from looking for the rest of the scene.
I think the lighting could do with focusing more on that chest, though. In the concept it's definitely the focal point, but in your scene it's a little too far back. Maybe some god rays, or more contrast between the light sources would help to bring it forward more?
blazed, AdvisableRobin, you're right about textures. Now I see, that it really could be done much better and, like you mentioned before, with love Now I will pay more attention about it in my next projects.
WesleyArthur, I agree with you, the chest is really looks slightly smaller then it should be. Maybe bring it forward to the camera would be the great solution. Or slightly scale it up

Great work though, it's a really nice piece.
