I'm also fascinated by your process. I like the semi cell shaded look that you start with laying in your shadows and lights then blending them. It really emphasizes the forms well.

I'm loving this skin. I know Riot does take a few ideas into mind when making a real skin from fan ideas. But when they do, they usually change a few things, remove a few or what have you. I'll be happy if this became a real thing, but I feel they'd probably change some things and kill the charm. None the less, doesn't take away that this is an amazing piece of work!
