Hi!
I'm a 21yo Belgian student in video gaming (animation and character design).
I heard about this contest and wanted to participate in order to improve my skills!
I would like to work on Nasus, my favorite champion! (and, if I got the time, an another fictionnal champion, we'll see...)
//EDIT//
Little update, like this you can follow my most recent animation

Nasus, the curator of the sands
"Nasus is a demigod who walks among the ruins of an ancient civilization; to others, he is nothing more than a myth. Legend speaks of his dominion over death and time." (
http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/Nasus/Background)
I'll use and modify this rig (Stewart) for the anim' (I don't have any personnal rig atm) :

Here's the modified rig:

This my first walking dog animation, still in blocking linear.
I'll do my best!
you'r main attention should be his hips and chest. They should oppose each other vertically, like 2 ends of a seesaw. Try to get many references

I'll take more references too! I've took some but I'm focusing too much on one or two of them...
Thanks a lot!
Anyway, good start ! Can't wait to see more.
Keep it coming !
I'm back with a new wip!
Soooo, I've focus the hips and chest (hope it's better like this) and take many references!
And what i can say is : a dog's run with a human's body is reeeeally difficult
But I'll work even more on those anim! Btw, I'm currently working on my ultimate attack too (hitting the ground and create a sandstorm or something like this).
Thanks for your feedback, hope you'll like it!
GravityBwlast : Hey Dude!! I'm glad to see you too! can't wait to see your work!!
Like I said before, he hit the ground and create a "sand vortex".
Still in blocking linear!
One version with sand and two others without.
I worked more on the foot's impact with the ground and the "stretch/squatch" effect on the body.
I'm still not confident about the hips and shoulders, still need to focus on it.
Don't hesitate to comments or critics!
The past few days, I spoke with people, got some c&c and more refs.
After that I thought my work wasn't good enough.
So I've restarted everything.
I used "circle" to realise the movement of the hips and the pelvis in order to get the stretch and squatch effect more visible, and it looks completely different now.
What do you think? Don't hesitate to comments and critics!
//EDIT//
there was a problem with the right foot, I've corrected it.
Can't wait to see more for his ult. Gonna be epic.
Can't wait to work on it too >< I finish some adjustment on my run animation (still need to be improved) and then I'll focus on the ult animation!
Stay thuned!
c&c are welcome!
try and speed it up 50%
here's a faster cycle
Talking as a League player (and not as an animator cause I suck at it xD) : the run is looking great but the way he's holding his cane ("DA CANE, +6 PLS!") feels painful/laborious. Maybe you have no other choice but you may want to try something new.
Good luck!
About his arm, you're right, i should try and change his right arm position. Actually he look self contained (if i'm correct x) ).
I'll work on that!
Here's my eighth wip
I've worked again on the run cycle, changing the arm position (looks a bit more dynamic imo).
And I added some changes for the ultimate attack, this time I'll use 2 rigs :
The one i'm using right now and a personnal rig that I've quickly created.
c&c are welcome! :>
RUN CYCLE
ULTIMATE
still need to work on the timing and posing.
I don't use the rig i've said before 'cause the anim i was planning for started to be a bit too long... (and it was not even finished!) i'll show a gif of it.
So here's my new (3rd version ) ultimate! I think it fits better considering Lol animations are usually short.
3rd ULTIMATE
OLD ULTIMATE
one is with "effect", the other one : animation only.
time is short, need to finish this!
btw, i'm glad to have entered this contest, i saw a lot of awesome works and tried to do my best!
This was a good experience!
