Hai Polycounters,
I've run into a problem with a texture in Max. I'm on the tail end of teaching myself how to use it (originally a Maya user - the experience has been very painful but needed), based on a tutorial. I'm testing out my texture on the model before I really delve into it, but I've noticed that I'm getting these really crappy artifacts. I can't seem to find out why; the texture looks fine in Photoshop. After fixing another issue that I thought would remedy it (viewport settings displaying 512 max resolution and changing it to 'Realistic with Maps'), I'm still struggling. Anyone have any ideas?
Left = viewport with artifacts (the random stuff was to test for the resolution issue). Right = Photoshop with no noticeable artifacts. The only reason I have left for this issue is that it's something to do with my AO... but when I have it on and turn my flat colour off (there's a few detail layers on), it mostly looks fine. Halp pls
