Hardland was just released on Steam Early Access and here's some characters I've made so far!
I'm also the texture artist, tech artist and animator. Most of the environment assets and props are also done by me.
Concepts are by Timo Vihola
Even though modding is currently wildly undocumented, we do support it. With the game you'll get access to all the textures, models and data files. Currently the models are in .pod format and there's no known importers for it, but we're thinking about alternatives for modders that want to get access to them too.
We like to be pretty open about our development so if you have any questions about the art/pipeline/whatever I'm happy to answer!
The game is currently in pre-alpha so there's a lot more characters to come - Enjoy!
Awesome work Sampo! I was just watching gameplay videos yesterday thinking how cool it'd be to see some of this stuff up close. Big fan of the stuff you all do. Congrats!
AtticusMars: Thanks! For some characters we definitely wanted to introduce an element of creepiness. Some of the unintentional creepiness probably comes from the unfinished AI behavior. For example sometimes the NPCs can go a really long time without blinking their eyes
