I thought it would be fun to paint a scene that shows some of the summoner's personality showing through the characters. The scene is focused on a smug looking Teemo, dropping shrooms in the jungle as Kat shunpos in for a kill.
I worked on this illustration for awhile, and then reread all the illustration rules/guidelines and started to wonder if the competition is restricted to "splash art" only. As in, does it have to be in the horizontal format with characters focused in a way that could be used in the game?
I've read the rules a couple times but I'm still not sure. Does anyone know more about this?
Very beautiful piece you got here! Really love all the energy and movement in it.
And about "splash art" only, I don't think we are restricted to that.
So many people are doing it in different ways already.
That is a good question though, would be nice to find out.
Some more questions for the illustration part:
1) It only states 3000pixel wide, but what about the height ?
Does the format not matter ?
The team paints at 7000 x 4130. The format really does not matter. We are not using these images for the game. We just want it big enough so that we can see your painting ability.

Yeah I wouldn't think we would be restricted ether. And I agree, it would be nice to find out for sure.
Very well thought out.
Xo, xo.

Here is more progress, placed next to my last update. Getting close, there are still a few areas that I will change or add more.
Here is my final. I may tweak somethings later. Comments or critiques are welcomed!
