awesome concept and WIP man.Your style is kindda Epic game's style, because of the proportion.

tried to make it a more casual
only the sword proportions look a bit odd, it has more of a mutated dagger than a giant 2handed sword.
I necessarily increase the sword Thank!
Anyway - great concept - looking forward to your progress.

I guess what ACap was on to that there are certain resemblances between skins in order for the character to be recognizable. I would guess the rules refers to "your own design" as your own design of a skin.
Either way the face bugs me too. Looking at the previous skins, the faces and other attributes only varies within a certain range. Your character appears to me as a completely new one. Shaving his head can work but you'd need to keep the rest of his features. I'd actually keep parts of the hair, maybe have a strip in the middle, a mohawk or something, just to ensure the character is still recognizable.
Anyway, the concept looks nice and rather interesting too. This definitely has potential.
