Very excited to get into this amazing competition!

I have a couple of questions:
is there a limit of duration for each animation?
can the character moves in space or we have to animate 2 cycles on the spot? I am curious about the attack one in particular...

Hey there! If you look at page 9 or 10 of the FAQ you can get some more detailed answers, but the short verion- no frame limit for animations, but keep it reasonable. Animations do not have to follow in-game rules, they are looking for good animation.
